Nutrition Fact: According to
a recent report by Michigan State University, people who skip
breakfast get fewer important nutrients like calcium, fiber,
potassium and folic acid for the day. The same people also eat
more sodium which may increase the risk of high blood pressure.
The best breakfast would include grains, (whole grains are the
best), a protein, a fruit and a little bit of poly or
unsaturated fat. Another study done by St. Louis University
found that overweight women who ate a scrambled egg and toast
ate 22% fewer calories and 15% less fat at lunch than women who
had a bagel & yogurt for breakfast. |
