Could you stand the pressure of participating in a fundraiser that involves no selling, no order taking and no delivery? I know it sounds too good to be true. It has happened.

I am pleased to introduce to you our newest fundraising programs, all of which meet the above criteria. There is something here for everyone. All of these programs are new to our school and we are very excited about their potential. I will discuss each of these in more detail later in the attachments.

The first program is called
Scrip. Those of you from the west coast may be familiar with Scrip as this is where the concept originated a number of years ago. Essentially this program involves purchasing gift cards. You purchase these gift cards at full face value and redeem them at full face value and Tomoka receives a rebate, which is approximately 5%. There are 80+ merchants participating in this program such as Old Navy, Barnes and Noble, Wendy’s, Shell, Exxon, Marshalls and Winn-Dixie to name but a few. These are stores where you shop everyday so you are not purchasing things that you wouldn’t normally buy. (How does it work?) (Merchants List)   (Gift Card Order Form) (Enrollment Form)

CardScrip is another program we are participating in. It is a MasterCard that offers a 1% return to our school for every dollar charged on this card. Additionally, there are over 40 bonus merchants that contribute rebates to our school above the 1%. Some of these bonus merchants include JC Penney, Lowe’s, American Airlines, and Olive Garden. (CardScrip Merchants)

For all you internet surfers out there (you know who you are), we are registered with
Schoolpop.com. There are over 300 merchants who are offering rebates of approximately 5% to our school. Most of these merchants are on-line, however, there are also a handful of catalogs and stores to choose from. A small sampling includes Oriental Trading, Amazon.Com, Lands End, Discovery Store, and FTD.COM.

Being environmentally conscious,
Kash for Kids is another fundraising option. We collect used printer cartridges which are sent to the recycling company who refills them to sell to their customers. We receive $1.00-$2.00 for each cartridge we send to the recycler

While not new to our list of fundraising programs, let’s not forget
Box Tops for Education. This is another simple fundraiser that earns money straight from your trashcan. Last year, our families collected 7,480 Box Tops for a total of $748. Let’s see if we can break that record this year.

Every penny that is earned is put to good use in our school. These funds are used to support Sunshine Math and Reading Counts. The Science Fair, Social Studies Fair, Invention Convention and Field Day also benefit from these funds. Let’s not forget the Talent Show, various music programs and assemblies that are presented each year.

Please open these pages to learn more about how you can support our school without the hassle of selling, delivering or purchasing things you wouldn’t ordinarily buy or don’t necessarily want. Your participation is key in our fundraising success.

Thank you,
