VIPS
Parents who wish to chaperone and drive on field trips should fill out a VIPS form
(Volusia County Volunteer form) at the school office as soon as possible. These forms take time to be processed. You will not be able to chaperone/drive on a field trip if the school does not have your VIPS form on file.
INSURANCE
If planning to drive children on a field trip, you must present a copy of the declaration page of your auto-insurance policy at the office. You must have a sufficient amount of coverage which the office needs to verify. Please check with the office for the current insurance standards.
VEHICLES
Although all cars are deemed acceptable as field trip transporta-
tion, you might be surprised to learn that many minivans and SUVs are not allowed. Please check with the office to see if your vehicle is currently approved as a field trip transportation vehicle.
Once again parents, to avoid field trip morning mayhem, please make sure you have all this information well ahead of time.
