Welcome to Tomoka Elementary School!
Hello, I am Julie Johnson, the proud principal of Tomoka
Elementary School. Tomoka Elementary is in beautiful and
historic Ormond Beach, Florida. Ormond Beach is located just
north of Daytona Beach and approximately 60 miles northeast of
Orlando. The city’s population is approximately 37,000.
Tomoka Elementary is situated parallel to the south side of SR
40 (Granada Boulevard) between SR 5A (Nova Road) and Clyde
Morris Boulevard. Nestled in a neighborhood setting, Tomoka
serves kindergarten through fifth grade students. In addition to
regular education, students may receive special services in a
variety of programs including gifted, exceptional student
education, language impaired and Pre-K Exceptional Education.
The current enrollment is 850 students. The average class size
is 20.
Tomoka Elementary is graded “A” by the Florida Department of
Education. Tomoka is one of only 13% of the schools statewide to
meet all of the Federal Government Annual Yearly Progress
Standards. We are proud of our award winning school with a
well-deserved reputation for academic excellence and

Our staff is excellent. Without question, Tomoka’s teachers are
