Tomoka Elementary is a school of approximately 850 students located in Ormond Beach. The school's setting in a middle to upper class area of the community is not indicative of the ethnic, racial, social, and socio-economic diversity found on campus.

When Tomoka Elementary opened in 1968 it was a neighborhood school. It eventually came to include students from surrounding areas.

Our mission is to help all students perform at the highest level of their abilities.

The entire Tomoka staff is a dedicated and highly skilled group of individuals. Educating our children is our number one priority. Our 2008-09 Strategic Plan for school improvement focuses on enhancing reading, writing, and math skills for all students. Tomoka received the Golden School Award for volunteerism and was also recognized as a prestigious Five Star School by the Florida Department of Education. Numerous businesses and organizations support our school. Parent involvement is exemplary. We are very proud of our students and of our school. Tomoka students are service oriented and highly participatory in school functions. Tomoka is an “A” school because of our outstanding students, staff and parents.
